Tonight, we honored one of our 2017-2018 Honorary Life Member recipients. Leslie Lyons Romike has always gone above and beyond her role in serving Cobb Middle School PTA. When most of us have tight calendars & limited time to devote to volunteer activities, she dedicates her time & makes our school and community a priority. She always has a smile, kind words, and is willing to help in any way that she can. She has truly made a difference at Cobb Middle School on our board as Historian this year and SAGE chair for two years prior to this one. When her boys were younger, she volunteered as Room Parent many years and begin substitute teaching at Fisher Elementary. She is a favorite sub that teachers often like to call on to help! In addition to giving her time and talents to the Cobb community, she volunteers at local non-profits with her son for over twenty hours each year through the Young Mens Service League. She serves as a charter member of the West Frisco chapter of YMSL and has served as VP Parliamentarian for the past 2 years. This year’s selection, Leslie Romike, exemplifies love & care to everyone she encounters. It is an honor & privilege for all of us to serve with her and call her friend. Leslie, thank you for all that you do!
